A Night at the Theatre: St. John’s College High School’s Production of Almost, Maine

St. John's College High School's theater department delivered an exceptional performance last weekend with its fall production of Almost, Maine. Almost, Maine did not disappoint—it was every bit as captivating as those that came before it. The production showcased the dedication that each cast member and crew member puts into their role or job.

Almost, Maine is a unique collection of short acts, each exploring a different aspect of love and human emotion. The play is set in a fictional town in Maine—aptly named Almost—and all the acts take place simultaneously. Each scene introduces a dilemma or conflict that is resolved by the end, usually after a dramatic turning point or climax. As the conflict is resolved, the show uses lighting and sound to create the effect of the Northern Lights—adding a magical touch to the atmosphere.
