New Beyoncé Album on the Horizon?
Beyoncé’s Beyhive is definitely one of the most attentive fan bases in the world. From previous hints and Beyoncé’s whereabouts, fans are confident that a new album is arriving very soon. Knowing her fans, Beyoncé drops elaborate messages to them like her 2024 Super Bowl commercial that announced a new era and singles. She also drops more casual clues in her outfits, and poses for Instagram. From reading into these things it seems that new music is close. If you do a deep dive on social media, you can find fans making a connection from everything she does to a new album, but here are a few major signs.
The Trilogy

Beyoncé released Renaissance on Friday, July 29, 2022. When this album was released she announced on her website and the LP that it was the first of a three-act project. "Cowboy Carter" was released on Friday, March 29, 2024, to fulfill the second act. The Beyhive is currently awaiting the third act. The projected date for the album by die-hard Beyoncé fans (me included) is Friday, May 29, 2026.
Beyoncé’s goal with these projects is to reclaim the Black history of various genres of music. Renaissance is dedicated to the Black influence on house music. "Cowboy Carter" is dedicated to the Black roots of country music. The third act is anticipated to be related to Black musicians in rock music. She also said that all three works were recorded during quarantine.
Hints & Evidence
- Beyoncé returns to the Met Gala this year for the first time since 2016 as a co-chair. Beyoncé doesn’t attend many events anymore, so when she does it is usually linked to an announcement or promotion. There is speculation that a new clue or a single will be tied to her outing.
- On the album covers for the first two acts, Beyoncé sits on two different horses, and on the back of their vinyl covers makes up two-thirds of a horse when put together. This implies that there is a third piece to finish the collection.
- May 29th is the only time the 29th falls on a Friday this year. The past two albums have been released on a Friday the 29th two years apart, and it is two years since "Cowboy Carter" was released.
- Beyoncé included an altered version of a visual from her 2016 "Hold Up" music video, changing the dress color from yellow to purple, and barefoot to heels. It is unclear what exactly this means, but that song and album drew from some rock influences and Beyoncé does not share visual references to her work with no reasoning.
- The set design for the "Renaissance World Tour" mimicked a banjo to foreshadow her country album. The "Cowboy Carter World Tour" set was very similar but changed the banjo shape to a star shape that resembles an electric guitar.
- Though she has notably withheld “the visuals” like music videos for these projects, she has released art books that included photographs of her and scenes riddled with hints. The name “Black Betty” was written multiple times in the imagery, which has led fans to believe that it is the title of new music. Through that book and other outfits, Beyoncé has honored Black rock icons like Tina Turner and Prince.
- In her most recent commercial for the brand Levi’s, titled “THE DENIM COWBOY” she enters on a horse to signify the "Cowboy Carter" era, and exits on a motorcycle symbolizing her riding into a new era.
There are other signs and associations like the color/initials of candy apple green, or some merchandise being removed from her website. There are many extensive theories and predictions on social media from the Beyhive, but we are all excited!

Possibilities:
So, on Friday, May 29, Beyoncé is likely releasing the third act of her trilogy on the influence of Black music with a rock n' roll album titled "Black Betty." Or, at least that is what the Beyhive believes.
