SJC’s Chamber Choir wins a superior rating and a first place award. Rylyn Swann ‘25’s breathtaking piano performance in song “El Lampo” earns her an outstanding accompaniment award.
Competition Jazz in the process of winning a superior rating and first place, as well as the overall award for highest adjudicated score. Their set brought home outstanding awards for the saxophone, rhythm, and trumpet sections. Shoutout also to Reuben Lawson ‘28 for receiving an outstanding soloist award for “Shadows and Dreams.”
Chamber Choir and Jazz spend the day after their competition having fun at Busch Gardens.
Both ensembles celebrate their wins after the awards ceremony Saturday, May 3.
