Prepare yourself: SPOOKY SZN is here
Fall is arguably the best season for many reasons, but one that stands out is that the best holiday, aka Halloween, aka “SPOOKY SZN,” happens in the fall. Halloween is not only a daylong holiday where little kids dress up and go to millions of houses begging for candy, but a month of spooky vibes to which no other holiday can compare. To get you in the spooky spirit, here are some of the best activities to do in the fall…
Visit A Haunted House or Forest
Whether it’s Field of Screams or Markoff’s Haunted Forest or even the cute little haunted houses at American Plant, they’re guaranteed to scare you into the Halloween spirit. They’re a great activity to do with a group of friends on an October night.
Watch Halloween Movies
While scary movies, such as the Halloween series, never fail to get people ready for fall, there are also numerous Disney movies, such as the Halloweentown series or Twitches, that are sure to give you those nostalgic “Monstober” vibes.
Go Apple Picking
There are many apple orchards in the DMV, including Butlers Orchard, Homestead Farms, Larriland Farm, and more. It’s a great way to stock up on apples so you can keep the doctor away and make many delicious fall recipes.
Make Pillsbury Pumpkin Cookies
This is probably the easiest and most delicious way to get in the Halloween mood. You can put them in the oven for 10 minutes, and then when they come out of the oven, you can eat them while watching some spooky movies. Also eating them will really bring back the nostalgia from when your mom would make them when you were 5.
Get A Pumpkin Spice Latte
This may be one of, if not the most basic fall essential. Everyone has probably heard of or had a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks. They’re warm, which is great for the cool fall weather, and they taste like pumpkin pie, which will make you think of Thanksgiving. So overall, it’s just a great way to get ready for the fall months to come.
Carve A Pumpkin
Americans love to go all out with the Halloween decorations, and that includes the pumpkins we carve. People spend hours and hours carving the perfect pumpkin to show off to their neighbors. There are many ways you can carve pumpkins, with characters, faces, and much more. Whatever you choose, it’s sure to impress everyone.
