Sabre Cooks: Thanksgiving Strawberry Turkeys

Ingredients:

  • pretzel sticks
  • strawberries
  • mini-marshmallows
  • chocolate flavored candy coating

 

Steps:

  • Cut the tops of the strawberries off

  • Gather enough marshmallows so that there is two for each strawberry. Cut them at an angle as pictured and set aside the excess

  • Get a small bowl and place a few blocks of candy coating into it. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.

  • Break the pretzel sticks in half and stick them through the larger portion of the marshmallows. Dip the angled edge of the marshmallow into the candy coating and stick it onto the strawberry. Repeat the steps for the other side of the strawberry.

  • Once the “turkey legs” have hardened onto the strawberry, stick a toothpick into the strawberry and dip it into the candy. Place the chocolate coated strawberry onto a plate and wait for it to harden.

  • Get the rest of the marshmallow pieces and dip them into the coating and stick them onto the end of the “turkey legs”. Once the turkeys have hardened, enjoy!
