SGA brings back the crown

For the first time since 2023, St. John’s is bringing back the Homecoming Court. After the tradition was put on pause last year due to the student government (SGA) becoming overwhelmed with other projects, the leadership team decided it was time to revive it in a big way.
The selection process included two rounds of voting to make sure every finalist truly represents St. John’s spirit. The winners will be announced over the loudspeakers on Thursday of Spirit Week, and they’ll proudly wear their sashes and crowns to school on Friday.
This year, the court is reserved for juniors and seniors to create more perks for upperclassmen. The SGA decided not to include Freshmen and sophomores in the court because they are still getting to know one another. SGA President Christian Larson '26 said that the students on the homecoming court should be outgoing, involved in the SJC community, and good representations of servant leadership.
