SJC Food Canned Food Drive runs until Nov. 2

St. John’s has been doing the annual food drive to help the little sisters of the poor for six years now. Chief coordinator Bro. Mark said, “This is a good and relatively simple thing to do that needs to be done.” The Little Sisters of the Poor is an organization that helps the elderly poor and gives them a place to sleep.

The purpose of the food drive is to help the little sisters of the poor by filling their pantry with non perishables. It is in line with the Lasallian teachings of the school so participating would be putting to use the teachings that one receives at St. John’s.

The drive starts next week, from Monday October 29th to Friday November 2nd. If you are planning on donating be sure to donate non perishables: pasta, canned food, cereal, etc.

Be sure to participate if you have an inclination to help those in need.
